Sophia Malary, Vice-President

My name is Sophia Malary, and I am a third year Haitian student at the University of Florida. I plan to graduate in spring of 2007 with a bachelor?s degree in Biology and a minor is Spanish. Thereafter, I will take a year off to work in Central America, beginning my career in international medicine. I will enter medical school in the fall of 2008 to receive my MD/MPH. With this, I will work in Family practice and continue my quest to cure the world.
Currently, I am the Vice-president of C.A.R.E.S. I have an indescribable passion to help and serve others. C.A.R.E.S gives me the opportunity to work and improve an area in health that causes death to many around the world. Apart from that, I am a member of the Minority Association of Pre-health Students and the American Medical Student Association; I work at Shands doing cancer research; I volunteer at Williams Elementary school; and I shadow a family practitioner at Eastside clinic. If anyone has any questions about anything, please feel free to contact me.
